Furthermore. will JacksonVanik improve the Vietnamese record on POWMIA issues? In the several months since the waiver has been in place. it certainly has not. So. in conclusion. a proposed extension of the waiver of JacksonVanik would reward a lack of progress on human rights. immigration. and economic reform. and the POWMIA effort. Vote yes on this resolution of disapproval. and send a strong message that our Nation values principles over potential profits.
