Mr. Speaker. I would like to take this opportunity to draw attention to the persecution of a young Jewish family in the Soviet Union. Their story is not all that different from so many other Soviet Jews who are persecuted and seek to emigrate to the United States. What has drawn my attention to their plight is a constituent of mine. Anna Metrik. Anna and her mother. Esfir Levitan. recently arrived from the Soviet Union and have resettled in Omaha. NE. in my congressional district. But as they begin their new lives in Omaha. they are still waiting to be reunited with Annas sister.
