Mr. President. as you know. I have the same concerns about the exclusions in the Immigration and Nationality Act as does my friend from Illinois. I say this is not the place to examine this issue which has solely to do with legal immigration. There are 33 exclusions in the law as to how we prohibit people coming to the United Statespsychopathic personalities. sexual deviants. mental defects. terms that we do not even know the meaning of in the present day. It is time to revisit that. but not here. I have promised hearings. and we will have hearings. The Select Commission promised only to reexamine the issue.
