Growersand I underline the word growerswho I might add are well represented. will have to verify a document once every 5 years for an American citizen. once every 3 years for a permanent resident. and once every year for a temporary worker. Second. growers will not be subject to fines for having hired illegal aliens. because they have buffered themselves with this amendment from criminal or civil penalties by passing it on to other entities. such as. State employment agencies.
