Mr. Speaker. the United States and Mexico are inextricably linked. We are linked not only by a border. but by the past and future. Events in one country cannot help but impact on the other. Together. the United States and Mexico must work to address problems of immigration. problems of economics. and problems of security. Together we will succeed where alone our struggle would be more difficult. This resolution can help move the people of the United States and the people of Mexico closer together. It is intended to ask the President to begin to address the practical arrangements of a peopletopeople program.
