He is an extremely conscientious and capable advocate of the interests of farmers. not only in his State but across the country as well. It happens that this particular measure does not affect my State. We do not have any problem. one way or another. with the migrant labor issue. so I have no immediate State interest in the issue. However. as the manager of this child nutrition bill. which is of vital interest to millions of children across this country. I think it is a mistake to attach to this bill a measure that clearly belongs in the jurisdiction of another committee and doubtless is going nowhere.
