Speech #920021240

Speaker. there is something exciting happening in my district. and I am proud to call our colleagues attention to it. Hundreds of young people from Kinloch Park Junior High School in Miami have been spending their free time turning the school grounds into a showplace. This beautification project has brought students.* faculty. administrators. and the community together in a common effort to "put the park back into Kinloch Park." Especially significant is the fact that most of the students are of Latin American heritagemany are Cuban refugees. I want to particularly commend the leadership roles played by Principal Harold Rash and faculty member Harry Hewitt. They have been the moving force behind the students enthusiasm and work.
