Seabrook urged the enactment of a Federal minimum wage law for farm workers as the best and most workable way of starting them toward a decent standard of living. Mr. Seabrook is a successful businessman who has long taken a great deal of interest in theconditions of farm workers. The farm he heads covers 54.000 acres in southern New Jersey. The vegetables grown there are processed on the farm. They resulted in $35 million worth of sales in 1958. He is the author of the New Jersey Migrant Labor Code and has been a member of the New Jersey Migrant Labor Board for 13years. He is fow the boards chairman. The workers on his farm are organized by labor unions.
