Speech #850091003

Mr. President. it is with sorrow and distress that I call the attention of the Senate to the death of Herve J. LHeureux. which occurred yesterday afternoon. Mr. LHeureux Is known to many Members of the Senate. He served for some years as Chief of the Visa Office of the Department of State. and in that capacity he gained the high regard. respect. and affection of many Members of this body. Mr. LHeureuxs life has been peculiarly associated with the Senate. He came to Washington from Manchester. N. H.. on the patronage of the late Senator George H. Moses. At that time I was here as a clerk of Senator Moses committee.
