Session #84 · 1955–57

Speech #840120906

They insist upon and fight for their Godgiven right to a place in the free world. They preserve their religious principles against Communist atheism. They respect the rights of the individual man. and for those rights they suffer agonies of persecution. They keep alive in youth the love of liberty. Through their great refugee organizations in the free world. they indict communism before the world. and succeed in maintaining hope among the enslaved. I am glad that at the Geneva conference we raised the question of their freedom. I regret that it was not pressed with more determination and resolution.
