This measure incorporates the provisions contained In my proposal. H. R. 4643. to extend the time within which persons who served honorably in the armed forces of the United States during World War I. World War II. and certain other periods may file petitions for naturalization. The instant proposal is all inclusive. attains the same worthy objective and for that reason I recommend and heartily endorse its passage. causing such amendment to the Nationality Act of 1940.
