Session #78 · 1943–45

Speech #780136521

I am sure the committee will welcome any suggestions and any assistance that can be given by any group of the public or by any Member of this House. It is the intention of the committee to do all we can within the limits of the law to dispose of that question. because much mail has been received by our committee since our worthy Attorney General appeared before the Dies committee on that matter. There is one bill which provides for the creation of a deportation commission for the Japanese. I do not know how that is going to work out. However. there are a number of Japanese in this country that ought to be deported because they have proven their disloyalty. There is no room for them here. I am willing to do everything I can along this line. and I am sure my colleagues on the committee feel the same way.
