Chairman. the amendment which I offer would restore and keep open a number of Federal court offices. five of which are located in my StateNebraska. It may seem. according to the hearings that little work is done in these offices and that they should be closed. It is true the court holds few sessions at these points. But in recent years I am told the work of the clerk has been heavy. That is due to the large amount of work on citizenship matters. immigration and naturalization matters. bankruptcy. and other matters in which our citizens are so much concerned now. I have just talked to Gen. Guy Heninger. who is in charge of our Selective Service in Nebraska.
