Another British case is that of a onearmed soldier. probably la goodsoldier. who after the war committed an embezzlement iin England and fled to the United States. and by some subterfuge was about to be admitted in spite of his embezzlement until it turned out on examination that he had picked up on. the boat a French woman and was guilty of concubinage. which is a cause for deportation. They were about to refuse to admit him for that offense. when it turned out that he had gone still further and married the woman and thus committed bigamy. for. after the embezzlement. lie ddserted a wife and children in: England. Ills case. I understand. is charged up as. one more United States immigration outrage. although it may not have yet become a inatter of diplomatic exchange.
