Mr. President. may I ask the Senator from Michigan. before he takes his seat. why we can not get a ananimousconsent agreement that we will vote on the immigraion bill at a certain time. and thus we can dispose of it. It Ahould be voted on. because if we do not vote on it at an early date it will not become a law. It is one of the bills that dies on the 4th of March. of course. although it has passed the House.: We ought to vote on it. May I ask Senators on the other side of the aisle if they will not agree to a unanimous consent that at some day. three or four or five days from now. we may vote on the immigration bill and the amendments thereto ?
