I am informed that the Federal court in the Hawaiian Islands has just decided that a Filipino man who was then in Hawaii had a right to become naturalized as a citizen of the United States. That case. of course. .will be appealed. and. I understand. the Government attorney has taken steps for the appeal. and it ultimately will be decided by our Supreme Court. If our court should hold that that Filipino had a right to citizenship. in the United States for naturalization. of course the. same reasons would apply to citizens of Porto Rico. and the gentleman in whom the gentleman from New York Is interested.
