I have informally discussed it with my own colleague. Mr. CURLEY. a member of the committee. -le is not here at this time. but I have understood from him and others that the committee was so busy vith the Dillingham bill and the Burnett bill and other matters affecting the immigration laws that they were not willing to consider any proposed changes in the naturalization laws of the United States. It is a matter of surprise. indeed. to me to fitd even this bill to amend the naturalization laws. and I an taking advantage of the first opportunity that I reasonably believe I have to ctuse this amendient to be considered.
