It is as follows: We onasider it our duty to make a statement to the House in the matter of the bill to regulate immigration presented by Mr. REAGAN on Monday. June 19. 1882. and passed by the House under suspension of the rulesthe Committee on Conmerce. or such members thereof as were then present in the House having under misapprehension advocated or consented to its passageand the return of which bill lreni the Senate has since been secured.
