If I heard the ranking member correctly. she said that somebody who is undocumented in this country. who is not from this country. is not here illegally. I thought I heard that. and I hope I heard that incorrectly. I will point out that the Immigration and Nationality Act. section 237(a)(1)(b) reads. in factand this is law that was voted on by this body and that was signed into law by the President of the United States. who was elected by the peoplethat aliens who are present in the U.S. in violation of immigration code are breaking the law and are deportable. That is U.S. law. That is not the majoritys opinion. that is not a partys opinion. that is not an individuals opinion.
