Mr. President. this is the same amendment I presentedtried to presentand discussed on the floor of the Senate yesterday. It addresses a very serious problem with our broken immigration system as well as a problem that leads to serious abuse and trafficking. which is why it is certainly relevant and pertinent in this ongoing discussion of the bill on the floor. First of all. let me again compliment Senator CORNYN and everyone who has joined him on a bipartisan basis in support of his antihuman trafficking amendment. I think that underlying bill is very positive and very significant. I certainly fully support it. apart from how my amendment fares.
