Creating uncertainty at Homeland Security is reckless because it threatens our national security. The tragic events in France remind us that we need to be as vigilant as ever. So why is this funding held back? So the majority can try to force its immigration policy on the President and the full Congress. We can and we should have the immigration debate. but it should not hold hostage the hardworking men and women who guard our ports and protect our borders. Mr. Speaker. lets do the right thing. Lets fund Homeland Security and have a proper debate on immigration. This is not an either/or situation. it is a both/and.
