He never taught her I dont think to get rid of her accent. but she certainly spoke English well enough that I never saw within her an inability to communicate. I always understood her when she told me what to do. But that tone. that acceptance of the host country. America. and the need to honor that by learning the language of the country that received the immigrants. English. And in turn. this country has rewarded people who have learned the English language and assimilated themselves into this culture. because they are rewarded through the chain of commerce. the job opportunities that are there.
