While this is a very good bill. it is not perfect and I hope it will serve as a starting point in a larger conversation about how we find a way to ensure coverage for everyone. but particularly for children and low income seniors. the most vulnerable amongst us. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the House and Senate to come to an agreement on how to increase coverage to the level the House bill provided. Additionally. I would like to join my colleagues in covering legal immigrant children and pregnant women. which the House bill ensured. Finally. I hope that the House and Senate will agree upon a strong Medicare bill that rolls back payment cuts and addresses payments based solely upon where a physician practices.
