Labor and Pensions Committee. agreed to have a hearing on it. and we did that. We had experts testify on that and very little negative was said about it. The witnesses at various hearings we had all said an immigration policy. in their opinion. should serve the national interest. and a skillbased program serves the national interest. That is why they did it. Australia does the same thing.
