And that counts against the quota for that country. So this is the problem. Mr. Speaker. that I think a lot of people just dont realize. We worry about a porous border. We worry about the fact that there are anywhere from 12 to 20 million illegal residents. immigrants in this country. many of them. of course. most of them probably are hardworking. Godfearing. good people. moms. dads. good families. and they are trying to do the right thing. And the only thing that they have committed. of course. is coming into this country illegally. But it is a huge. huge problem for us. as I said at the outset. in regard to the stress and strain on our economy. on our infrastructure. on our safety net programs. on our public school systems.
