We need to keep our promises to the American people and fund the promises we made. We must send a clear message that when you cross our borders illegally. you will be caught and detained. I get our desperate fiscal situation. But compromising border security is not the way to trim the deficit. At some point. this Congress must deal with the national security risks that remains with the very large number of OTMs released into the general population who are still unaccounted for. Funding the effort to locate all the released OTMs is going to make paying for the minimum number of agents and beds seem like childs play.
