One of the things that has created the unity of our country that is made up of so many different ethnic groups. so many different races. so many different religions. has been the English language. We are not doing anyone a favor by making it easier for them not to speak English. We are. in fact. doing a great disservice to those least fortunate people and those immigrants who come to our country by not encouraging them. by not giving them the incentive to learn English. It is a crime against those people and against their children. More than this. what we have here is an expensive mandate.
