Most of these new immigrants have found work. but they have not found freedom. This spring. at United Trinity Methodist Church in Des Moines. IA. I met with a group of new immigrants. and I asked how many of them were undocumented. I looked around. They didnt know whether to raise their hand. and finally they decided. OK. they would. I would say probably a third of them were undocumented. They are living in the shadows. They live in fear.
