When they built the fence and brought that border under control. the economy on both sides of the fence blossomed. crime has fallen. and it is an entirely different place and a much better place. That is just the way it is. We have to do this. and it is time to move forward. A stateoftheart border security system should be robust enough that it would not be easily compromised by cutting. climbing. tunneling. or ramming through with a vehicle. when combined with hightech detection devices. motion sensors. body sensors. and seismic or subterranean sensors. A good barrier should make intrusion time consuming enough that a border unit could respond to the attempted intrusion before they are successful. That is what a fence does.
