Session #105 · 1997–99

Speech #1050080264

But it will eliminate from this point forward any opportunity for DFSs or designated fingerprinting services. which are nonprofit or forprofit agencies to provide this service. And as the chairman has aptly pointed out. and correctly so. there have been many problems with many of the forprofit and even notforprofit DFSs. We have had a problem with people being naturalized that should never have been naturalized. But. quite frankly. there have been some very good DFSs that are providing valuable service to the INS. In my district in Rhode Island. the INS branch office in Providence has found no problems with the four facilities that provide these fingerprinting services.
