True small businesses are often the most vulnerable and have extremely high rates of failure. Today we are increasing the minimum wage and providing necessary tax relief to our small businesses. Mr. Speaker. I am proud to have helped introduce a minimum wage increase bill and I am also proud to have cast my vote for the successful tax relief. welfare reform. and immigration reform bills. We need a responsible and fair government for a change. and this Congress Is on the right course. This legislation is a victory for low wage earners. a victory for small business. and a victory for the American people.
