I think this highlights the necessity for that. I think we have all seen situations in which we have heard the traditional description of bootstrapping your way into a benefit. This is bootystrapping. This is a situation in which. by virtue of the act of illegal entry on the part of a parent. the birth of the child gives the right to benefits from the taxpayers coffers. I rise in opposition to this amendment. and I think that it does highlight the fact that we have a situation of rewarding those who would violate our immigration laws.
