I think that particularly in Israels case. and in Egypts as well that the Government is as strained as it could possibly be in trying to hold together the peace process especially within Israel itself. I think any cut by the American Congress at this time would have terrible consequences in Tel Aviv tomorrow. It is hard enough as it is. I would also like to point out. and this was probably an oversight on the gentlemans part. but the cut would also reduce funds for refugees and disaster assistance. endangering the lives of children and adults all over the world who are at the very. very greatest risk. Mr. Chairman.
