The amendment simply says that every agency which is involved in taking under this bill would have. quote. a written policy that prohibits the delivery of services to aliens who are not in lawful immigration status in the United States. and that is all that it requires. a written policy. Let me just say. Mr. Chairman. first of all. that there is a crisis in illegal aliens in this country. and we have here. thanks to the gentleman from California . a MediCal release that says. "You do not need to be a citizen to get medical aid." It goes on to say that even if one is in the country Illegally. a special kind of MediCal can be obtained. Under the new law. MediCal cannot report them to immigration. No. it is not laying in the street. It is handing out a governmentpaid. taxpayerpaid brochure to encourage people to get MediCal.
