Since the President has decided to place yet another mandate on our overburdened States. it is only fair to ask the Federal Government to do Its part and pay its fair share. The State of Florida already has one of the highest AIDS populations in the country and is struggling to maintain its health care delivery system. One question we cannot avoid is where Is the money coming from to treat these HIVinfected immigrants? This is why I am one of the original cosponsors of the bill of the gentleman from Florida . the Refugee Assistance Act. which asks the Federal Government to help our State of Florida with the financial support to take care of these new immigrants.
