Mr. Chairman. Nashville International Airport will soon have regularly scheduled service to the Caribbean requiring the presence of both Customs and Immigration officials. As you know. current charter flights from the area are required to land in Miami. Orlando. and several other locations for immigration and customs inspections. These landings are an inconvenience to the traveler and an added cost to the .ir carrier. With the initiation of this regularly scheduled service and in anticipation of direct international service between Nashville and Europe. is it the intention of the committee that the Customs Service promptly provide sufficient resources to adequately serve those flights upon their landing in Nashville?
