I rise today to state that I regret having not been present during the course of rollcall vote No. 240. on H.R. 2295. in which we voted on the aid package to the State of Israel. I am in favor of the above stated aid package and would have voted in favor of it. had I been present on the r floor of the House. I am also In favor of the $80 million package which allocates moneys to Israel for the purpose of refugee assistance. especially the assistance to the Ethiopian Jews. I am a supporter of Israel and greatly understand the imperative of continuing the support of the United States for the great State of Israel.
