Mr. Speaker. I am pleased to recognize today a remarkable company located in Dallas. PA. Offset Paperback Manufacturers. Inc. celebrated its 20th anniversary this past May. However. its history reaches back to 1907. when Russian immigrants founded Universal Printers in Canada. The company relocated to Phoenix. AZ In 1965. trading as Valley Paperback. Four years later. the company moved east to be closer to the heart of the industry. this time settling In Its present home in my district. In 1972. Saul and Abe Simkin purchased Valley Paperback. changing its name to Offset Paperback. The growth of the company can best be judged by the increase in its employees from 120 in 1972 to 636 today.
