In many respects. the St. Joh Street community was the archetypal exomple of the bountiful opportunities available in this great Nation. Immigrants came from all walks of life to find their dream in America. and those who came to Flint found It to be a place where families could be raised. children could obtain a fine education. and breadwinners could provide for their families. Mr. Speaker. it Is Indeed an honor and a pleasure for me to rise today before my colleagues in the U.S.
