Specifically. this treaty allows for the transfer of criminal aliens to their home country to serve all or a portion of the sentence they received for crimes committed in the United States. My amendment will require a thorough study of the effectiveness of this treaty. and the implementation of any changes needed to improve the effectiveness of the treaty. We must pursue policies that get criminal aliens out of our country and out of our home and deported to their country of origin as quickly as possible. This amendment is designed to accomplish that important goal. This amendment has been agreed to by both sides.
