President. on March 7 of this year the Senate passed House Joint Resolution 167 designating June 14 as "Baltic Freedom Day." June 14 marks the 0th anniversary of the beginning of the forced deportations of thousands and thousands of Baltic citizens by the Soviet regime of Joseph Stalin. People were packed like cattle into rail cars and shipped off to labor camps where thousands lost their lives.
