This year as his family celebrates the 102d year of his birth. Mr. Lopezs legacy lives on. The father of 7 daughters. 23 grandchildren. 57 greatgrandchildren. and 7 great greatgrandchildren. Mr. Lopez is still annually honored by a family whose lives were all indelibly influenced by the support and kindness of a man whose story epitomizes the opportunity which continues to burn brightly in this country. Mr. Lopez was born on November 27. 1889. in Zacatecas. Mexico. He and his bride Perfecta Lopez. economic refugees of the Mexican Revolution. emigrated to the United States in 1918. and became naturalized citizens of the United States in 1925.
