Currently only half of the centers provide specialized onestop shopping services that offer comprehensive care. This bill will provide funds so that all community health centers will benefit from such a program. Of the $80 million authorized. $25 million would fund new CPCP grants for the Comprehensive Perinatal Care Program in places where obstetrical and pediatric care is minimal or nonexistent. $35 million will be available to expand services for children up to age of 3. $20 million will be set aside to establish and operate new community and migrant health centers. This expansion will enable a quarter million women and children to receive desperately needed health care In both urban and rural areas. The legislation will expand and increase immunization opportunities for young children.
