Currrently only half of the centers provide specialized onestop shopping services that offer comprehensive care. This bill will provide funds so that all community health centers will benefit from such a program. Of the $80 million authorized. $25 million would fund new CPCP grants for the Comprehensive Perinatal Care Program in places where obstetrical and pediatric care is minimal or nonexistent- $35 million will be available to expand services for children up to age 3. $20 million will be set aside to establish and operate new community and migrant health centers. This expansion will enable 250.000 women and children to receive desperately needed health care in both urban and rural areas. The legislation will also expand and increase immunization opportunities for young children.
