Mr. Speaker. I rise in support of the conference report on S. 358. the Immigration Act. and ask unanimous consent to revise and extend my remarks. I would like to thank the distinguished members of the Judiciary Committee. and my dear Chairman BROOKS. Chairman MORRISON. Representative BERMAN. and Representative FRANK for their outstanding work on this bill. I would also like to thank Chairman ROYBAL for his many years of leadership on this issue and for his work on defeating the inclusion of the national identification provision formerly in the bill. I am in favor of provisions in this agreement that increase the number of visas for family reunification and would like to urge my colleagues to join me in supporting this conference report and final passage of this important legislation.
