Session #101 · 1989–91

Speech #1010241314

I ask my colleagues to think about the atmosphere. the choices we are creating for our youth. Todays environment is filled with crime. greed. unemployment. drugs. and violence. The picture is grim and all too real. Where do we expect our kids to turn. what kind of life do we expect them to lead. what kinds of dreams and values do we want them to have? My parents came to this country as immigrants. grateful for the opportunity. grateful for the new freedoms bestowed upon them. The strong sense of responsibility to contribute back to society was a tenet my parents lived by. It was this quality that they so well Ingrained in me.
