Mr. Speaker. today I rise to pay tribute to Norman Letow. a man who has spent his life educating the children of Brooklyn. Mr. Letows dedication to public education was firmly implanted by his parents. As poor immigrants. his parents were forced to rely upon the public schools for the education and training of their children. Norman Letow was born and raised In Brooklyn. He attended P.S. 247. P.S. 207. James Madison High School and Brooklyn College. In October 1965. Mr. Letow began his work with the public schools of Brooklyn. He became a laboratory assistant In Halsey Junior High School.
