What has happened in this legislation is. at the committee level. the 1986 Immigration Act was amended. It was amended on page 38. lines 4 through 6. by reducing the amount of funds available for fiscal year 1990 by $241.440.000. On the floor today. by a series of voice votes. it has been further amended by further reducing this appropriation.
