Session #101 · 1989–91

Speech #1010066857

Chairman. that we were not having this debate today. I had urged the leadership to put it off for a week or two and I think it would have been much better at that time. because this is not really the time for us to be arguing back and forth whether they should be having MFN. This should be a time of quiet encouragement for them to continue the open immigration policies they have had in the past. They have strongly stated that they are going to pass what has been a policy into law in the near future. I hope they do. but quite frankly. as hardheaded legislators.
