I would like to submit for the RECORD today a copy of a petition that is being circulated by concerned students at Dartmouth College in my district expressing support for Representative PELOSIS bill. H.R. 2712. extending current visas for Chinese nationals in this country. As you know. the world was stunned by the brutal suppression of the student prodemocracy movement In Tiananmen Square. Thousands of brave Chinese risked their lives callIng for the kinds of individual rights and freedoms that we take for granted. In addition. thousands more Chinese In this country and around the world lent their voices to the growIng cry for democracy.
